Volunteers are needed to help Nassau County, FL residents as they dispose of household hazardous waste. Volunteers are needed to help with the Nassau County Household Hazardous Waste Collection. Arrive no later than 7:30am to help with event set up and to attend the volunteer kickoff meeting at 7:45am. You will be assisting residents as they drop off materials – activities include directing traffic, unloading vehicles, sorting materials, verifying residency. Wear clothing suitable for being outdoors and standing or walking for long periods. KNB will provide reusable and disposable gloves, safety vests, and light snacks. Bring your reusable water bottle. Shifts are available if needed. The mission of Keep Nassau Beautiful is to enable and educate the public in the reduction of litter and waste, increase in recycling, and the beautification of public spaces in Nassau County FL.
