Social-Emotional Skills are the KEY to Success All that are a part of children's lives can benefit and mindfully incorporate these SKILLS Social-Emotional Learning doesn't have to be taught only in the classrooms in 1st grade on up. These much needed skills can happen early in childhood (0-7years old) anytime, anywhere, and through unique ways. Parents, caregivers, educators, OT's, therapists, family educators, etc. can all be a part of fostering children's Emotional & Social development. Using Mindfulness & Dance/movement allows an in-road into the skills that children are already executing. For instance, playing with play-dough; do you think the simple joy children experience with this universal toy, can be used to teach Mindfulness?
