Join a Lorrimer Sanctuary Naturalist on a spring hike to look for spring ephemeral wildflowers! DESCRIPTION: Join a Lorrimer Sanctuary naturalist for a brief hike to look for native wildflowers. Spring ephemerals are the short-lived stars of early spring in NJ's woodlands, bringing color and life to an often cold and muddy season. Learn about the stories and medicinal properties of these unique little plants with find plenty of opportunities to view them up close! This program takes place entirely outdoors. Please dress appropriately for the weather. COST: $8 members, $10 non-members NEW JERSEY AUDUBON'S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: All staff and participants must wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status while indoors. Sanitizing stations and plexiglass will remain in place to continue to encourage people to be mindful of health practices and to respect people’s personal space. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress appropriately for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. CANCELLATION: : NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
