Celebrate International Women's Day with some art!
Join the Newnan Carnegie Library in celebrating International Women's Day on March 8th at 2:30pm! In this hour and a half long program, you will spend the first hour creating some form of artistic piece that represents or speaks to a woman who has inspired you (drawing, painting, poem, start of a biography, etc.), and, in the last half hour, you will share with the program what you have created and speak on the woman who has given you so much inspiration. This is not considered an instructive program. The host will not be teaching how to create any form of art. This will be your own expression of celebration.
The Carnegie Library is one of the most historically significant structures in downtown Newnan and was built in 1904. The building served as a library until 1987 and is now a honor system library with adult and children's programs.
