LAKE VILLA, IL — Chickens were killed in a barn fire in Lake Villa on Monday night, fire officials said. Firefighters responded to the blaze in a barn in the 23900 block of West Petite Lake Road at about 5 p.m. Monday, the Daily Herald is reporting. A cause of the fire, which was fully involved when firefighters arrived, is not immediately available. No one else was injured in the blaze. More via the Daily Herald
