Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix: According to the National Weather Service, strong, gusty winds are expected to cause blowing dust in the metro Phoenix area this week. The weather service issued a pollution advisory ahead of the forecast, which is expected to hit the area on Tuesday, and the strong wind is expected to impact the air quality. (Phoenix Patch)The owners of Mother Bunch Brewing Inc. will pay restitution and fines after pleading pleaded guilty to one count for failing to pay taxes. Mother Bunch opened in 2014 at Seventh and Garfield streets by married couple Julie Meeker and Jimmie McBride. The couple quickly earned a reputation for supporting police, firefighters, and public school teachers, while Meeker became a public face for local women involved in craft brewing. According to the Arizona Department of Revenue, Meeker and McBride failed to pay nearly $640,000 in sales and income taxes and agreed to pay restitution and fines totaling close to $657,000. (KJZZ)Officials say the man responsible for injuring nine Phoenix officers after shooting the mother of his child last week took his own life after he was hit by police gunfire. Four officers who were hurt by shrapnel are expected to return to work soon, and only one officer remains in the hospital. According to police, the incident apparently started as a domestic dispute.
