Position Objective: To perform general maintenance and labor in support of the PETA Foundation Operations Department Primary Responsibilities and Duties: • Perform general and preventative maintenance to facilities, vehicles, and grounds (e.g., trash disposal, replace light bulbs, furniture moves, painting, cleaning of exterior building/property) • Build doghouses and perform errands in support of the PETA doghouse program • Support the Operations department by providing general labor • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor Qualifications: • General repair skills such as painting, light carpentry, vehicle, grounds or general maintenance • Ability to take direction and complete duties with limited supervision • Ability to drive vans, box trucks, and RV sized vehicles • Ability to travel to North Carolina and Washington, D.C. as needed • Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends on occasion • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis • Requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather • Physical demands including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying/moving heavy items, painting, and the ability to use various hand tools • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record • This position requires proof of the COVID-19 full vaccination • Commitment to the objectives of the organization Please apply online:
