My name is Gustavo and I'm an experienced speciality coffee trainer. This post is for people who maybe just bought an espresso machine for home and want to know how to use it properly, or maybe people who have a cafe business and want to up-skill your baristas in order to provide the best quality coffee to your customers. I have more than 5 years experience training baristas all around Australia (lived there for 13 years) and 3 years in the USA. My training is customized depending on the learners needs and levels and consists of:
- Coffee Storage (How long will coffee last fresh once its open, when its in the hopper, and when its ground)
- Coffee Extraction (Probably the most important part, why would you pay so much money in coffee when your barista can't extract the proper espresso?)
- Foaming milk techniques (step by step guidance on how to create that micro foam when using the steamer)
- Latte art (my speciality is also latte art, I competed in a couple of latte art tournaments)
- Cleaning procedures (How to clean the espresso machine, group heads, handles, in a daily basis)
