Davidson Election 2019: Voters Choose Commissioners, Mayor

DAVIDSON, NC — Voters head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 5 to decide races for Davidson mayor, town commissioners and two town refernda. Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. In Davidson, the positions of mayor and town commissioners are decided by ballot every two years. On the ballot this year are two referenda: a $14 million general obligation bond package to pay for new public facilities and approval of the sale of Continuum cable and internet system. All Mecklenburg County voters will also have a chance to have their say for a proposed one-quarter percent local sales and use tax, which would help fund the Arts and Science Council, parks and education.
