Material Handler, Shipping and Receiving Onsite Daily in La Jolla, CA Start ASAP - Temp to Hire Pay Rate: $21-$24/hr Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision and weekly pay! ** Please submit your resume for immediate consideration! ** Our Medical Research Client located in La Jolla, CA is looking for an experience Materials Handler/Shipping and Receiving Specialist II, with experience working in the life sciences industry preferred. In this role you will support the various needs of the Shipping and Receiving department, tag capital equipment, perform duties related to specialty shipments and operate equipment. Job Duties: • Receives all incoming shipments including temperature-controlled items, capital equipment, chemicals and controlled or hazardous material. • Verifies quantities of goods and matches to order and packing slips. • Files and scans packing slips. • Inspects shipments for damage, shortage or overage, and reports exceptions. • Identifies and documents receiving discrepancies. • Completes data entry of receipt of goods into ERP receiving module. • Prepares communications to users regarding orders. • Prepares goods for delivery and disburses goods including stockroom items. • Maintains clean and organized work area and warehouse. • Understands and follows the various shipping and receiving procedures and policies including chemical bar-coding, exceptions, and stockroom billing processes. • Coordinates assigned Service-Now tickets. • Understands and follows the exceptions process. Requirements: • High School diploma and four years’ shipping and receiving experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained is required. • Experience working with material and capital equipment used in life sciences preferred. • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean record required. • Forklift certification required. • Ability to lift heavy material up to 50lbs. • Ability to operate a forklift. • Working knowledge of an automated receiving system (i.e.; ONESolution, Jaggaer, etc.) • Work independently as well as in a team environment. • Be responsible and have strong time management skills. • Able to analyze and resolve issues of moderate complexity. • Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Demonstrate professional communication and interpersonal skills. • Professional proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Embody the company’s core values of Commitment, Collaboration, Communication, Community and Compassion. ** Please submit your resume for immediate consideration! ** TCW Global is an equal opportunity employer.
