3 Vehicle Break-Ins, One Stolen Car: Crime Reported In Davidson

DAVIDSON, NC — Three vehicles were broken into this week, and one vehicle was stolen, according to Davidson Police Department. Officers also made one arrest this week and wrote at least 24 tickets for infractions ranging from speeding to driving with an expired inspection sticker. According to the police department, Art Davion Sanders, 34, was arrested Aug. 16 on Mock Road, charged with a warrant for arrest for assault on a female. Officers issued the following citations between Aug. 11 and Aug. 17 that require a mandatory court appearance: Kevin Aguirre, 22, was cited on Aug. 12 on June Washam Road, charged with displaying a revoked tag/no insurance Clayton Thomas Leffew, 19, was cited on Aug. 13 on Concord Road, charged with driving after consuming alcohol while under 21 John Paul Dietrich, was cited Aug. 16 on North Main Street, charged with careless and reckless driving, failing to maintain lane control DPD also issued the following citations, which do not require a court appearance: Speeding — 11 Stop sign/red light violation — 2 No operator's license — 1 Expired tag — 2 Expired inspection — 2 Consume alcohol under 21 — 3 Seatbelt violation — 3 Police received eight crime reports around town this past week: Aug. 13 — Breaking and entering of an auto, larceny from auto, Zac Hill Road Aug. 13 — Larceny of an auto, Park Avenue Aug. 13 — Breaking and entering of an auto, larceny from auto, John Ross Way Aug. 13 — Breaking and entering of an auto, larceny from auto, Lake Park Drive Aug. 17 — False pretense, River Falls Drive Aug. 17 — Larceny (felony), Setter Point Lane Aug. 17 — Larceny (felony), Lake Park Drive
