DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson police made three last week and wrote at least 30 tickets for infractions ranging from speeding to failing to register a vehicle. DPD made the following arrests during the week of Aug. 25 through Aug. 31: Canda-ce Borders, 22, was arrested on Harbour Place Drive Aug. 25, charged with simple assault Mark Robbins, 40, was arrested on Stonebriar Ridge Drive on Aug. 29, charged with assault on a female Angeli Melendez, 20, was arrested on South Main Street on Aug. 30, charged with simple assault DPD also issued the following citations, which do not require a court appearance: Speeding — 11 Stop sign/red light violation — 6 No operator's license — 1 Expired tag — 3 No insurance — 3 Fail to register vehicle with DMV — 1 Fail to display license plate — 3 Expired inspection — 2 Police received five crime reports around town this past week: Aug. 25 — Simple assault, 594 Griffith Street Aug. 27 — False pretense, Winged Thistle Court Aug. 29 — Assault on a female, Stonebriar Ridge Drive Aug. 30 — Simple assault, South Main Street Aug. 31 — Simple assault, Davidson-Concord Road
