DAVIDSON, NC — Davidson police issued nearly two dozen tickets last week for charges including failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, speeding, and possession of marijuana. Numerous crimes were also reported to the police department, including a simple assault in River Run and two larcenies on South Main Street. About 75 percent of citations issued by police in town this past week took place on Griffith Street, according to the blotter. DPD issued the following citations from Sept. 8 through Sept. 14: Police received the following crime reports this past week: Sept. 8 — Simple assault, River Falls Drive Sept. 9 — Larceny (misdemeanor), Peninsula Drive Sept. 9 — Larceny (misdemeanor), S. Main Street Sept. 11 — Simple assault, Davidson-Concord Road Sept. 13 — Possession of marijuana/possession of drug paraphernalia, Pierre Reverdy Drive Sept. 13 — Display fictitious tag, Parting Oaks Lane Sept. 14 — Larceny (misdemeanor), S.
