About Us | Walter Composites Inc. is a local family-owned business that specializes in the manufacturing of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) parts. Some industries we serve include the automotive, RV, and telecommunication industries. Our family has over 30+ years of experience in fiberglass and started this location in January 2021. We are currently looking to grow our production team and have several Production Technician positions open. Pay & Hours & Benefits · Starting at $15/hour · 40 hours/week required; up to 16 hours/week optional overtime · Current production schedule: M-F 6am-4:30pm & Saturdays 6am-12pm · Paid Holidays, Vacation Days, and Sick Leave · Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance · 401(k) Plan Job Description | We need technicians in several departments. We may train employees in different areas before placing them in a specific department for which they are well-suited. Some duties and tasks may include: Lamination · Move production molds on and off the floor as needed · Prepare and wax molds for lamination · Cut raw fiberglass matting to size · Manually lay fiberglass into molds and laminate fiberglass parts · Demold parts after they have cured Final Finish · Check parts for imperfections and correct them · Polish, buff, sand, glue or bolt parts together · Attach final hardware or otherwise assemble parts · Package parts for shipping Assist the owner: · Run errands with company truck (e.g. deliver parts, pick up orders) · Unload freight off delivery trucks with forklift Qualifications Required: · Show up on time and work at least 40 hours/week · Comfortable standing for extended periods of time, occasionally lifting or kneeling · Comfortable in a moderately noisy and dirty work environment · Willing to learn new skills and follow rules and directions Preferred (but you will still be considered if you do not have): · Experience with hand tools, power tools, and various equipment · Driver's license
