Hooker Creek Companies, LLC is a local construction material supplier recruiting for a Small Engine Mechanic. This role is responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing motorized power equipment. The person in this position will identify mechanical, electrical and fuel system problems and then make necessary repairs. The ideal candidate will have verifiable experience in maintenance and repair of small equipment. Position requirements include: • Discuss equipment issues and maintenance plans • Perform routine engine maintenance such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs • Diagnose, test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts • Adjust components according to specifications • Repair or replace worn, defective or broken parts • Reassemble and reinstall components following engine repairs • Keep record of inspections, test results, work performed • Exercise safety measures within all aspects of the work environment • Work well in a team environment • Assist in other operational areas as needed • Must have some basic tools • Ability to lift 100 pounds • Oregon Driver’s License and acceptable DMV record is preferred • Saturday work may be required on occasion. A candidate who demonstrates mechanical aptitude with excellent customer service, professional attitude and the ability to learn concepts quickly may be considered.
