Carpentry/Remodeling Field Supervisor

General Description of Duties: The purpose of this highly responsible position is to expedite the efficiency of the work crews, meet strict compliance standards, and provide training for all field staff. Examples of Work: • Supervise, train, evaluate, and discipline field staff • Work closely with production supervisor to ensure all field staff and jobs are efficient • Conduct field monitoring of field crews for quality and quantity of work performed • Assure all contract standards are performed within compliance • Ensure company policies and procedures are being adhered to by administering corrective action • Hiring all field staff with production supervisor • Ensure all safety guidelines are followed by all field staff • Conduct safety and quality meetings • Ensure field staff is following all customer service guidelines • Pick-up Materials as needed • Other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to communicate effectively with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds • Must have thorough knowledge of material and installation standards for different agencies and funding sources • Must be multi-task oriented • Must be able to calculate linear feet, square inches, and square feet • Ability to learn and follow company policies and procedures • Must be able to travel out-of-town and overnight • Ability to motivate employees to work in a safe and efficient manner maintaining quality of workmanship • Ability to organize and prioritize work to be performed • Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on occasion • Must have good communication skills • Must be self-directed and able to work independently without immediate supervision Acceptable Experience and Training: Three years of experience in general construction or two years of direct experience in Weatherization. Supervisory experience preferred. Certifications and Licenses Required: Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable at a normal rate.
