Description
I write lyrics and sing my own songs, but all the orchestration is locked up in my head. I have an old disk of Sonar Cakewalk, but I haven’t the foggiest of how to start it, much less use it. Don’t even hint about me learning to play the piano first because you will teach me Cakewalk only, not music. Don’t give me boxed tutorials. I want you to teach me, an impatient nine year old kid in an old man’s skin-bag, how to:
(1) get to a Cakewalk screen where I can point and click to begin a melody,
(2) add harmony,
(3) add instruments,
(4) play it back through my keyboard using a midi-something with wires,
(5) record the score in musical notation,
(6) add my words to the score,
(7) print it all on my printer,
(8) record my music and voice onto some kind of sound file, and
(9) transfer several song files onto a CD as a self-playing album.
I will need several sessions probably at my house in Yakima at $25 an hour. Afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends are generally okay with me.
P.S. – I detest snooty musician! Remember that your job is to be a patient software teacher, not a concert musician.
