We are seeking a 2-3 self-starters with an outgoing personality to join our team of public involvement and public relations professionals. Must have professional appearance. Your role will be to assist distributing flyers and with staffing a series of outdoor and indoor tabling events, typically in three hour shifts. For virtual and in person meetings, you will be asked to take notes of comments received. For this role you must be comfortable tabling and passing out materials, sharing information on various projects; as well as collecting surveys from people on iPads. In addition to supporting virtual events, we envision setting up tables at community fairs, neighborhood meetings, farmers markets, sporting events and community meetings at outdoor and indoor locations.. In this role, you will assist set up the table/booth; staff the event/booth; take down booth/organize materials collected; submit a report within 24 hours. We are looking for 2-3 people who are inviting, enthusiastic, and helpful. TO APPLY: Please respond with contact info, experience with similar work, and languages spoken. Dark slacks or black jeans POSITION TYPE Part time, temporary, 10-15 hours per week Some evenings, weekends and after hours schedule February 18 - May, 30, 2022 EDUCATION High School Diploma or Current college students majoring in Political Science, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Geography, Architecture, Engineering, or Sociology are encouraged to apply QUALIFICATIONS Outgoing personality and able to engage people of different cultures and backgrounds Fluency in English, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Spanish is required Experience with event scheduling Experience in event staffing Familiar with Zoom or similar virtual meeting platform Able to use an iPad and internet technology, wifi/hotspot connections Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word Must have reliable, personal transportation Able to stand for 4 hours Able to lift up to 35 lbs Job Type: Part-time, Temporary Salary: $21.00 /hour
