Plant medicine has traditionally and historically been used for a multitude of ailments! It is one of the healthiest ways we can support our body’s miraculously innate ability to heal itself. Alisha Butler is a student Doctor and is excited to share her knowledge about herbal medicine with us. She will discuss plants traditionally used for their respiratory support as well as a plant well known for its uses as an analgesic and anti-anxiety remedy. In this class, you will learn about 3 types of herbs and their medical uses, (Mullein, Yerba Santa, and Skullcap). You will learn about reputable places to purchase herbs. You will see a live demonstration on making medicine out of these herbs. The class is Sunday, February 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is on-site at Harmonic Journeys, 1292 Summit Avenue, Lakewood, 44107. Additional parking at the corner of Clifton and Summit at Lincoln Elementary School (about 10 houses down the street) The cost is $20.
