7 month old mixed pup

Duke is a 7 month old Blue Heeler, Australian Shepard and Border Collie mix. He is up to date on all shots and we have his records. He's loyal and shows protective instinct. He will bark a few times as walkers go past our fence but doesn't go on and on about it. He needs a good back yard, chew toys that aren't plush and patience. He is a work dog and likes to stay busy and of course be rewarded for a job well done. Crate trained and getting better with a leash. He is potty trained for the most part unless he gets super excited. Good around cats and older children (I'd say 9+) as he does like to jump when he's excited. He's been around a few other dogs and is a little shy at 1st. I think he would do well with a play companion. He has a very playful personality and likes to play catch (and bring the ball back to you). Rehoming as my son is taking off to trade school in the fall and I've already inherited my daughter's cat when she moved. Lol. He was hoping to take him with but the place he's staying doesn't allow pets as it's a small community in Arkansas and the students rent travel travels while there. Rehoming fee does apply. We have a very nice large crate from Wilco we will include for a small fee as well. Food/water bowls, leash and any food we have can go with him at no extra charge. Texting is best.
