I started my own Airbnb (by renting someone else's property and getting permission to rent it through Airbnb) in California. It was fun, very successful, and the easiest money I ever made. If you have an extra room, apartment, back house, or a whole house that you would be interested in renting out I can handle all of the work and we can split the profits. Airbnb has insurance to cover any damages by the guest but in 3 years of having my own Airbnb full-time I never had any issue with this other than food spilled on sheets that I was able to get reimbursed through Airbnb.
