The White Moustache is a small batch creator of artisanal yogurt. We are currently seeking a full-time assistant yogurt maker to join our dedicated production team at our facility in Century City, California. Role & Responsibilities: The assistant yogurt maker will work to create and package multiple batches of handmade yogurt each week. This is a hands on position covering most phases of yogurt production and will include the following: • Food handling/working with wet and dry ingredients • Hand strain and prepare yogurt to desired consistency • Pot and fill yogurt jars with yogurt and fruit preserves • Label and package White Moustache yogurt and products • Clean and sanitize pasteurization equipment to rigorous standards and observe safety procedures • This position works autonomously half the time and requires someone that is disciplined and proactive with completing daily tasks without supervision • Ideal candidates have experience working in a kitchen based environment or in food production related roles. However, we are open to training those who would like to learn and have no experience with food production We are looking for someone who is focused on quality, is willing to learn new skills and loves to be a part of a close-knit team. Requirements: • You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to apply for this position • You must be legally authorized to work in the US for this position • Required Language: English (Spoken and Written) • Must be able and comfortable working on your feet/standing for 5 hours or longer • Must be able to lift 50 pounds during the course of the work day Skills: • Culinary or food preparation experience, desirable • Must be proactive and self-directed with completing daily tasks without supervision • Ability to follow directions, adhere to production procedures and work as part of a team • Motivated and takes pride in creating handcrafted and artisianl products • High attention to detail and cleanliness Pay & Schedule Information • Job Type: Full-time preferred, part-time available • Pay: $17.00 per hour plus paid parking • Benefits for Full Time employees: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Vacation, Paid Parking • Schedule: 2-5 days a week, flexible. 5 days preferred. ONE NIGHT SHIFT OF 5 HOURS REQUIRED (either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday).
