REHOMING TAME COCKATIEL

Hello- Unfortunately due to our upcoming out of country move we have to rehome our very loved and cared for 15yr old cockatiel. We would love to find him a family that will continue to love and cherish him as we have. He has always been an only pet so he’s always gotten all our love and attention. He is very very attached to my 9yr old daughter. He is healthy and according his vet looks great for his age. As you can see from the pictures he’s mostly out of his cage and just loves hanging out with ppl. He is very loving and tame. He doesn’t bite but will pretend to attack if he feels threatened. We will be vetting all applicants. Let me share some details about him. •He is definitely a male. •He is 15yrs old •He is fully flighted, meaning we don’t trim his flight feather so he can fly around the house. •He has always been an only pet •He doesn’t get along with other birds, other than other cockatiels. •He prefers women over men but will warm up to the right guy. •He loves cuddles and he’s happiest on someone’s shoulder. •He can get loud when he doesn’t get attention or wants something. •He enjoys singing, cuddles, kisses & scratches on his head. What we’re looking for in his new family. •More female vs male household if possible. •Financially stable •House with little kids (7+yrs) old. Preferably a daughter- I feel like he will bond with her much quicker. He’s obsessed with our daughter and waits for her to get back from school. •No dogs or other larger pets. He’s never been around barking or really loud noises so it might be terrifying for him. He’s fine with other cockatiels from what I’ve seen. •Willing to commit for atleast 10yrs. Please do your research before reaching out. Cockatiels can easily live to be in their late 20s to early 30s. •Atleast 5hrs out of cage time throughout the day. There will be a rehoming fee. The fee is nonnegotiable & includes our cockatiel, his large cage, his travel cage, his carrier for shorter trips, toys/treats and any food leftover.
