It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to rehome my sweet baby girl. Matcha is just a little over a year old- birthday November 5th, 2020. She is a purebred (part woolly fur), Siberian Husky, with AKC papers. She has been such a joy to my life, she is loving, silly, very smart, and although I am a bit biased, one of the most beautiful, unique-looking huskies I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I am a recent college grad looking to either go back to school or go back to full-time work. I am also in the middle of dealing with some health issues and simply do not have the time or money to give Matcha the life she deserves. Matcha loves other dogs and I am hoping to find her a home where she can have a friend. She does have separation anxiety and does not like to be isolated or left alone, but this problem becomes almost nonexistent when there is another dog with her. I had her emotional support certified and she has learned to be exceptional in stores and at restaurants, and in the car. She knows how to sit, lay down, shake, speak, stay, and leave it. She is very food motivated! She needs some work with recall due to her easily distracted puppy brain at places like the beach or dog park. She is smart and loyal and with a little help, I have no doubt her recall and other commands would improve quickly. She loves swimming at the beach, pulling me on the skateboard (sled dog instinct), sleeping on her back with her feet in the air, sticking her head out of the car window, and using her husky voice to communicate with me.
Matcha gets along with everyone, she is more of a dog’s dog than a people dog but in the evenings she loves pets and snuggles. She is great with kids and gentle with smaller dogs. I love her dearly and I know anyone who gives her the chance will too.
