CORNELIUS, NC — Officers made seven arrests this week on charges that included felony possession of marijuana, resisting an officer and littering more than 500 pounds, according to the Cornelius Police Department. Police received eight crime incidents this week for incidents that included two vehicle break-ins and one vehicle theft. A recent rash of vehicle thefts in Cornelius prompted police to issue a warning to area residents Thursday. CPD officers issued 40 citations, including 23 for speed-related offenses, three for no operators license, and three for making an improper turn.
