Condominium building is looking for a porter to maintain facade and interior of the building in a fresh, clean and appealing condition. He should be personable, have a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn. As a Porter, you will work with condominium management to provide exceptional service to residents. You will be responsible for your regular daily cleaning duties as well as additional assignments based on current needs of the building. The schedule will be Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm and every other Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 5 pm. Days off are every other Saturday and Sunday. WHO YOU ARE • Passionate. WHAT YOU’LL DO The porter will have the following daily responsibilities: • Prepare garbage for pickup twice a day, • Sweep/power wash in front of the building daily, • Sweep & mop lobby and elevator floors daily. • Clean glass entrance doors daily. • Vacuum hallways weekly. • Pad elevators before movers. • Clean walls when needed and quarterly. • Buff floors and shampoo carpets quarterly. REQUIREMENTS • General interest in custodial and maintenance work and an ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude. • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE • High school diploma or equivalent COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This is a 32BJ Union job.
