PAID RESEARCH STUDY about how shift work impacts your health, metabolism, and gut microbiome.
Interested in how your work schedule affects your health? Participate in a paid study on how you shift work impacts your metabolism, blood sugar, and physical health with the CU Department of Integrative Physiology.
As a participant, you will earn $250 while being able to track your sleep, metabolism, and blood sugar for 1 week. The study includes 2 separate visits to the CU Boulder Clinical Translational Research Center (CTRC) (lasting ~5-6 hours each), and involves bloodwork, an x-ray scan, urine sample collection, and answering questionnaires about sleep, diet, work, and activity. We follow all recommended CDC, State, and University safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Eligibility:
• Healthy adults ages 18-45
• Looking for people who work day and/or night shifts!
• Not pregnant or nursing
• No children in the home under 1 year old
• Free of neurological disorders or medical conditions like diabetes, cancer, and heart disease
