Roanoke College seeks applicants join our team to perform general maintenance duties in support of maintaining the campus.  This position performs all activities relating to general maintenance and repair, moving, and related general maintenance work on campus.  Uniforms provided, free lunch each work day in our cafeteria, and full tuition waiver after one year of service.  Hours of work are primarily Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Key Responsibilities: Perform or assist in performing general maintenance and repairs throughout campus. Provide locksmith services including repairs and replacement of panic hardware, closures, hold open devices and similar door hardware during normal business hours, and after-hours on-call rotation. Electronic door access experience preferred but not required Assist Plant Manager in preparation of work estimates, and ordering necessary supplies. Correct or reports to Plant Manager for corrections by others any apparent safety issues or fire hazard. Completes in an organized and timely manger daily work orders and a daily time sheets. Assists other crews in snow and ice removal to include shoveling and spreading ice melt. As well as any other inclement weather issues that should occur. Assist in setting up for ad taking down from academic, athletic, and other special events. Does require some weekend work. Assist others in moving of furniture, equipment, and any other moving needs as required.
