re Do We Have A Gun Problem

Description

With any propaganda, there are always elements of truth. Otherwise, the feeble-minded folk who believe it, would discard it. Let's get real. The problem of homicide is a human problem only, as far as we know. When we are fearful or angry, we are most unpredictable, and even the physically weak among us become potentially dangerous. We know this, and it is the reason why citizens are not allowed by law to possess, sell or manufacture biological/nuclear hazardous materials. The second amendment was written at a time when we were an occupied nation. King George blockaded our Eastern ports and made it illegal to purchase firearms or ammunition. We had no armed forces, no state, county or city police, no national guard, no central or federal intelligence agencies. Nothing. We now have all that, and a "well armed militia" in a day of stinger missiles, armored tanks, nuclear warheads, killer drones, satellites et al, is an antiquated idea, time to put to rest. Man has proven for more than two centuries he cannot be trusted with firearms, save law enforcement and the military. How many people like you are obsessed with fear about "crime" and own a gun that is used accidently against someone they love, themselves, or is lost or stolen and fuels the very people you obsess about? Can't you appreciate that most Americans live into their eighties and live quite happy lives without the ownership of a machine designed to kill another human being? "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" ‎Jeremiah 17:9
