Empowering Female Veterans Through Benefits, Resources and Community We are excited to finally be hosting our 5th annual EFV event - Destination: Connection- RECONNECT. If you are a Female Veteran we invite you to join us for a time of fellowship, awareness and recognition of Female Veterans. If you are a Veteran Caregiver, Widow or Spouse we invite you to join us for fellowship, encouragement and resources. If you are Female Active Duty we invite you to join us for fellowship and recognition. Veterans Service Organizations will be onsite and confirmed lists will be updated as we are closer to the event. If your Veteran Service Organization would like to be a part of this event please provide name of the organization and contact info so we can follow up. 10:00-11:00 - Check In / Registration Lunch will be served. Attire is dressy casual as event will be outside weather permitting and/or moved inside as needed. FOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK AT EMPOWERING FEMALE VETERANS FOR ADDITIONAL INFO AND UPDATES. Honored Guest and Keynote Speaker is 2017-2018 American Legion National Commander Denise Rohan. An Army veteran, Rohan was elected in 2017 as the first female national commander of the nearly 2 million member American Legion. Her theme as national commander was “Family First” and her fund-raising project generated donations for the Veterans & Children Foundation (V&CF). The foundation provides Temporary Financial Assistance grants to disadvantaged children of veterans and training for accredited American Legion service officers.
