Position Summary: Maintains hotel/property appearance, equipment and systems of 80 room hotel and conference space. This individual will direct and implement maintenance programs aimed at maintaining high-quality room and interior/exterior building appearance and functionality. Within this responsibility this individual will inspect, clean, maintain, and repair all mechanical, electrical, fixtures, furniture and other equipment used guests and employees. Specific Duties: • Assesses, manages & reviews the job performance of additional maintenance staff • Oversees training and development and direction of the department personnel when applicable • Ensures good safety practices throughout the hotel, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures. Ability to work safety with tools, chemicals, and utilize machinery in an appropriate and safe manner • Plan, organize, and implement a preventative maintenance program for the property • Use appropriate checklist to perform scheduled inspections of all guest rooms and public areas and periodically review inspection checklists for possible improvements • Coordinate 3rd party vendors (plumbing/electrical/equipment rental etc.) as needed for repairs and projects on site • Understand and comply with City, County, State and Federal regulations • Ensures proper installation, repair, and maintenance of all equipment • Oversees installation and maintenance of air conditioning and heating units or working with appropriate 3rd party for maintenance • Reviews all outside contract services for departmental responsibilities and maintains cost controls of these services and inventories • Responsible for implementing meeting room set-ups and tear-downs • Maintain all swimming equipment in proper working condition. Backwash and vacuum as needed, and maintain a proper pH condition of the water. Hold proper chlorine levels and other conditions to Health Department Standards. Be willing to train and receive Certified Pool Operator license if not already in possession of said license • Establish and maintain productive communication and documentation protocol with Front Desk & Housekeeping Departments, as well as Management team of hotel Requirements: Ability to stand, walk for entire shifts. Ability to bend, stoop, climb, crouch, twist and otherwise work in awkward or confined spaces as required to maintain or repair all hotel equipment. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to work around cleaning and pool chemicals. Basic computer proficiencies including e-mail, Microsoft Excel and Word, and online purchasing processes.
