Farm-to-Table Cookout + Strawberries Picking + Vegetables Harvesting + Soil & Water Conservation + Nova Science Let It Grow Award! Schedule: 10:45 AM: Check In with Counselor. 11:00 AM: Strawberry Farm-to-Table Cookout. It is TWO experiences in one: (a) Strawberry Tour and (b) Farm-2-Table Cookout. (a) Strawberry Tour is a guided wagon ride around the farm where we will learn about the farming methods and history. We will see how fruits and vegetables grow! The last stop on this tour is in the strawberry patch where we can pick and eat strawberries! (b) Farm-2-Table Cookout is a guided walking tour around the farm where we will be able to pick our own seasonal veggies in the field. Then, we will eat a freshly prepared lunch with grilled chicken, grilled seasonal vegetables, farm fresh salad, seasonal fruit for dessert, and bottled water. 2:30 PM: Presentation for Nova / Merit Badge. Nova: Small Group presentation and discussion on requirements per the Award requirements for Scouts BSA / Venturers / Sea Scouts.
