Taylor University's Envision Film Festival 2022 will be in-person with special guests from the entertainment industry. Welcome to Taylor University's Envision Film Festival 2022. The festival will be in-person with special guests joining from the entertainment industry. All events are free but require registration. The evening of March 10th is especially for prospective students and their parents. If you arrive by 4pm, you can learn more about Taylor’s Film & Media Production program and tour the facilities. If you arrive by 7pm, you can join the kickoff event, a film screening of “Far East, Deep South,” and a Q&A with the filmmaker, Larissa Lam. On March 11th, during the day, we’ll feature guests from the entertainment industry.You’ll be able to attend Taylor’s chapel service and multiple film workshops throughout the day. On the evening of March 11th, we will show the best film and video work of the year by Taylor students in Rediger Auditorium, followed by an awards ceremony. The winner of our high school film competition will also screen. On March 12th, we host our high school screening brunch and offer another optional tour of our department. The film festival wraps by 12:30pm, and you can be on your way. Stay overnight and eat free Film students are welcome to join for one or two overnights on campus. We will provide a host who is a film major unless you tell us you’d like to stay with someone else or stay off campus. All meals are provided by Taylor. Festival Goals The Envision Film Festival honors aspiring filmmakers whose visual storytelling explores the range of human experience with hopeful vision, artistry, truthfulness and integrity. · To provide educational experiences for Taylor and high school filmmakers by means of interaction with industry professionals. · To honor Taylor University filmmakers & films, providing a venue for public exhibition of their work. · To highlight the significance of film as a medium that can express beauty, truth and goodness, prompting meaningful dialogue.
