It's about one's unsaid, untreated and unhealed wounds."Sometimes families need help. Sometimes problems are too complex and wounds too deep to be untangled without assistance. Sometimes there are undiagnosed mental health issues and trauma that are damaging the relationship. This is when family reconciliation & intervention mediation can help. Family reconciliation mediation (FRM) gets to the root of the underlying problems. This type of mediation promotes peaceful, effective, and thorough conflict resolution.  The process can be used for disagreements within the family, big or small, including conflicts between couples, parents & children, siblings, blended families and others. IA uses a very ‘purist’ style of mediation and has used a ‘transformative mediation model’ since long before there was a name for it, which seeks to resolve the issue at hand while focusing on preserving the relationship at whatever level the parties desire, or dissolving amicably. The benefit of this style of mediation is that it 1) invites all grievances to be brought to the light, 2) allows people opportunity to be heard, 3) enables forgiveness, 4) lets the parties create their own solutions, and 5) encourages them to agree on specific resolutions that are kept in confidence by the parties and mediators. The goal is restoration. Family intervention mediation (FIM) with permission from the clients, allows one of the co-mediators to step into a therapeutic role to help with things like mental health or drug abuse issues that may keep the parties from being able to work through the process and hold agreements.
