Geocaching 101 Workshop

Get in on the worldwide excitement of geocaching! This special clinic will get you up to speed and ready to get out there and start placing and finding your own hidden “treasures”! We’ll be searching for temporary caches close to the workshop meeting area. Who is Invited: Open to all ages; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please. When & Where to Meet: Arrive no later than 12:45PM.  Meet at the Visitors Center Exhibit Gallery. The clinic starts promptly at 1:00PM. What to Wear & Bring: GPS units will be provided for the clinic, or you can bring your own. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather. Requirements: No pets please. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Registration, Fees & Cancellation: Registration is required! Group size is limited. Registration opens the Saturday two weeks prior to the event and closes at noon the Thursday before the event. Sorry, no group reservations. Natural Area entry fees apply. Friends of Government Canyon is made up of a growing group of active volunteers who take pride in the work we do — from grooming trails to facilitating education programs to advocating the protection of the Aquifer and numerous resources found within the boundaries of the Natural Area. We are hikers, naturalists, artists, mountain bikers, runners, researchers, clean water advocates and in general, lovers of the outdoors with one common mission; protecting and preserving the Natural Area.
