Storybook Theatre of Hawaii presents one of their original films starring Renown Hawaiian Storyteller Auntie Nona Beamer .
In this film Renown Hawaiian Storyteller Auntie Nona Beamer gathers with the troupe of Storybook puppeteers at Ha’ili Church in Hilo (where Auntie grew up) to tell the story of ‘Hi’iaka, Lo’hiau and the Five Maile Sister (all coconut headed puppets) in the Hula Ki’i Hawaiian tradition’ Your children will enjoy this rare Hawaiian story with original music written by Mauliola Cook.
The film will be shown at Storybook Theatre on Saturday February 19th at 11:oo am
The purpose of The Storybook Theatre of Hawaii is to enable Hawaii's school children to experience and participate in the performing and media arts, SBTH also perpetuates the cultural values and heritage of the peoples of Hawaii and the Pacific.
