Growing up in Miami in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, Flip was influenced by the electronic music scene from an early age. Having attended Ultra Music Festival in 2002 he was introduced to many types of genres of electronic music and ignited a passion to want to learn more. Always having an ear for particular sound he began exploring the world of trance, house, breaks and drum and bass. After sampling all of these genres, he found a home in house music and began playing at rooftop parties and events in Miami. Then moving to California in 2008 he began playing at clubs in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. Working his way through the ranks he played at such venues as: Avalon, Yost Theater, Club X, Red, Spin, Bassmnt, Hard Rock San Diego, Hard Rock Palm Spring and Sutra. Then in 2013 during his first trip to Black Rock City at Burning Man he made several contacts and began playing for camps such as Trifucta, Music Savages, Slut Garden, and Beats Boutique. At burning man, he found a new audience that shared the same passion for underground music and for the past 3 years he’s been playing mainly at camp fundraisers, private events and other local California festivals such as Youtopia, Genius Loci and Bequinox. Today Flip keeps his SoundCloud (@flipmode26) audience up to date with new mixes and exploring fresh sounds. He continues to be involved with Burning Man events, local festivals and djing private gigs. He is not limited to one sound and continues to explore the ever changing world of deep house, disco, funk and underground house and push the boundaries. $20 Bucks.
