An intensive fundraising training seminar for new nonprofit development professionals.
Hosted by American Philanthropic's Center for Civil Society, this in-person training seminar covers a range of development topics at an introductory level, giving participants a general overview of the foundational principles and essential practices of successful nonprofit fundraising. After the group training sessions, participants receive a one-on-one coaching session with an American Philanthropic consultant.
In an intimate small group setting, American Philanthropic’s seasoned consultants will teach you how to find new donors, nurture strong relationships with existing donors, build strong foundation and major donor programs, and more. You’ll also schedule an hour-long one-on-one coaching session with one of the session leaders to discuss your particular fundraising challenges and questions and identify ways to help your nonprofit succeed. In addition to the group training sessions and personalized advising, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet peers facing similar challenges, enjoy good meals together, and explore downtown Phoenix.
Participants come away from the training with a solid understanding of:
How to approach fundraising and develop a healthy development culture Basics on how to find new donors and keep the ones they already have How to establish or grow strong major donor and foundation programs Participants also receive a comprehensive course manual with additional information and tools to reference again and again after the training.
