CHARLOTTE, NC — The spread of novel coronavirus through the state and nation has prompted Garth Brooks to reschedule his long-awaited upcoming stadium show in the Queen City, the country music start announced Tuesday morning.
The Charlotte show will mark the first time Brooks has performed in Charlotte in more than 20 years.
Last November, Garth Brooks announced he would be performing at the Bank of America Stadium on May 2. That show will now take place Saturday, June 13.
All tickets for the May 2 show will be honored.
"Like so many people right now, I just want to get back to what I do. Knowing these shows are eventually going to happen makes me happy," Brooks said in the Twitter announcement.
