Bring your woodenware for sterilization via gamma radiation
The Guild is participating in the gamma irradiation event sponsored by Tim Ferris and the Chester County Beekeepers. We will gather equipment and stack it on a trailer for transportation to Sterigenics on Tuesday March 22. To read more about the program go HERE.
You MUST register to participate, registration will close on Friday March 18th. You MUST tell us how many boxes or other equipment you plan to bring. Boxes may have comb but should not have honey.
The event is free. We will charge you at the time of the event for the cost of your equipment based on quantity. The cost of the service is $7 each for deep boxes (with or w/o frames), $5.25 each for medium boxes (with or w/o frames). You can put bottom boards and covers inside two or three deep or medium boxes if they don't have frames.
Located in the cradle of American beekeeping, the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild works to encourage and promote urban beekeeping through fellowship and education, and to raise awareness of the importance of bees to our environment. [501 (c)(3)]
