Starting at noon, the event also features local musicians, comedian Gary Cargal (best known from the Southern Momma Tour), and political activists from across the country. AfromanAfroman, is an Grammy nominated rapper, singer, songwriter, comedian and multi-instrumentalist known for his songs "Because I Got High" and "Crazy Rap". Afroman has used his platform to millions to highlight the usefulness of marijuana as part of the effort to legalize its sale across the United States. Tommy ChongTommy Chong is known for his marijuana-themed Cheech & Chong comedy albums and movies with Cheech Marin, as well as playing the character Leo on Fox's That '70s Show. Chong has been subject to two American investigations, code-named “Operation Pipe Dreams” and “Operation Headhunter”, which tried to trace drug traffic and users through businesses selling drug paraphernalia, mostly bongs. Chong agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute drug paraphernalia in exchange for non-prosecution of his wife, Shelby, and his son. The estimated taxpayer cost of Operation Pipe Dreams was over $12 million and included the resources of 2,000 law enforcement officers.
