Learn about Violet Oakley, the artist who devoted 25 years of her life (1874-1961) painting murals for the Pennsylvania Capitol. In cooperation with the American Association of University Women (AAUW), we are pleased to welcome playwright Cindy Rock Dlugolecki. Cindy will share about the hours/days/years it took to research, write, and produce Violet Oakley Unveiled, her play about the artist who devoted 25 years of her life painting murals for the Pennsylvania Capitol. Violet Oakley (1874-1961) was so obsessed with the color purple that she wore the hue almost every day . . . as does Cindy. Registration begins February 15. At this time, masks are required at all events. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.
