We will be discussing:
Open carry vs concealed carry.
How you carry and where.
What do you carry and why, is the smaller gun really the best for carry?
Tips and tricks for concealment and clothing options.
Holster tech. and gear to improve your performance.
Defensive ballistics, defensive vs range ammunition. Discussion.
Consideration in & around vehicles.
We will prove or disprove all the topics discussed through live fire drills and scenarios. This will be a 300-round count day, all from concealment, lots of holster work. Bring what you carry and bring what you like to shoot on range days. This is an advanced level training, students should have had a minimum of a level one class. Students will need to be proficient with their weapon, we will not be addressing basic skills in this class.
The objectives include:
Safe and reliable presentation from your carry rig.
Defending your weapon
Shooting from retention
Drawing while in a vehicle
Controlling bystanders, and family members
Crowded environments
Cost is $200 and a $25 range fee is due the day of training. Students should bring all needed range gear. Bring lunch, and snacks, hydration and caffeination. Classes are from 0900 to 1500.
Required gear includes:
Weapon and holster
Magazine carrier that you use (if that’s your pocket then that’s fine.)
All other EDC gear, lights, knives, etc.
Hearing & eye protection
