WAUKESHA, WI— A former Waukesha elected official accused of using two different addresses will face a trial. Kathleen Cummings, a former Waukesha County Supervisor and alderman appeared in Waukesha County Court on Friday. A judge found probable cause for a trial, online court documents said. Cummings was charged with five counts of false swearing-government setting and two counts of election fraud/nomination certification, court documents said. A criminal complaint said Cummings did not live in her home district for nine years of her time in public service. The court denied Donna Kuchler, an attorney for former Alderman Kathleen Cummings, motion to dismiss the complaint. Kuchler argued the complaint failed to show probable cause that Cummings committed the charges of committed false swearing and election fraud, according to a report from the Waukesha Freeman. Cummings was released on a $10,000 cash bond in December; her arraignment is scheduled for March 22.
