NEW HAVEN, CT —A 31-year-old New Haven man was shot Sunday night, police said.
Just before 10 p.m., police got a 911 call about a shooting on Chatham Street at the intersection with Rowe Street, according to police spokesperson Scott Shumway. Found suffering from a gunshot wound, the man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, Shumway said.
The New Haven police Bureau of Identification collected ballistic evidence at the site of the shooting, Shumway said. Detectives from the police department Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
