ROYAL OAK, MI — Have you had issues with Royal Oak's new parking system downtown? If so, the city is affording you a chance to make your voice heard. The Royal Oak Police Department said it is seeking feedback on the parking system through an online public survey. The survey is available to residents now through Dec. 18. "The goal of the survey is to pinpoint parking habits and prioritize ways we can improve our operations," Royal Oak Police Chief Corrigan O'Donohue said. "We want parking in our downtown to be as convenient, efficient, and customer friendly as possible. We also want people who use and rely on the parking system to have a voice in any changes we make." The police department said it has been evaluating automated parking technologies that offer users a variety of functions not currently available. The parking survey will be used to quantify the decision-making process. You can take the 12-question survey here.
