CONNECTICUT — Coronavirus-associated hospitalizations dropped to just above 400 beds in Connecticut, while the daily positivity rate has fallen below 4 percent.
The daily coronavirus positivity rate dropped over one-and-a-half percentage points over the weekend, to 3.32 percent, according to the state Department of Public Health .
The daily coronavirus positivity rate is a function of the number of tests compared to the number of cases confirmed positive each day. Since Friday, 1,524 positive cases were confirmed, out of 45,881 tests taken. The numbers of tests and cases confirmed do not include those taken with at-home self-test kits.
DPH has reported the number of hospitalized coronavirus patients in Connecticut has dropped to 406, down 61 beds since Friday.
Of the 406 currently hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19, 219, or just under 54 percent, have completed their vaccine series

Currently, the highest number of the hospitalized —138 — are in Hartford County.
