ARLINGTON, VA — Units from Arlington County Fire Department extinguished a house fire on Monday morning in the Gulf Branch neighborhood south of North Glebe Road, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.
ACFD units responded around 9:20 a.m. for the report of a structure fire in the 3600 block of North Vermont Street.
"It was a small fire when they got there, very minor extension, no injuries," said Lt. Nate Hiner, a public information officer with ACFD.
Fire crews quickly brought the blaze under control and the house received minimal damage, according to Hiner. The fire marshal remained on the scene to conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire.
