LOS ANGELES, CA — Three LAPD officers were hurt, two critically, in. a crash on the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles early Monday and all southbound lanes of the freeway were closed.
The crash happened around 2:15 a.m. near Olympic Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. One person was trapped in the collision, which involved a police vehicle. Two were in critical condition and one was seriously hurt.
A SigAlert showed the southbound lanes in the area were closed. Traffic was stopped and drivers were to expect delays of up to an hour.
"110 (SR-110 Pasadena Fwy) South between Olympic Blvd/9th St and I-10/Santa Monica Fwy, backed up to Stadium Way/Exit 24C," the alert said.
The driver of the civilian car stayed at the scene, police told media outlets. It wasn't immediately clear anyone was arrested.
