BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Bucks County Health Department has released its COVID-19 statistics for the week between Feb. 3 and Feb. 10.
Last week, the county reported 643 positive cases, a decrease of 460 from the previous week.
Children 11 and under accounted for 119 cases, a decrease of 64 from the previous week. Cases in children between 12 and 18 were down by 56, for a total of 42 cases last week.
Nineteen people died of COVID-19 last week, with nine as delayed reports from the prior two-week period.
The positivity rate in Bucks County dropped below 10 percent, more than halving itself from the previous week and hitting 9.5 percent.
On Friday, 91 people were in the hospital with COVID-19. That's a drop of 26 from the week prior.
Nine patients were on ventilators, a decrease of one from the prior week.
By Friday, 2,210 more people had been fully vaccinated, making for a total of 384,174 people in the county with at least two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
